Governance body moves to improve service delivery

The Rwanda Governance Board (RGB) has stepped up efforts to improve service delivery in both public and private sectors. The agency, established late last year, is moving to build stronger ties with various actors, especially through the Joint Action Development Forum (JADF), a platform that brings together government, development partners, civil society and the private sector.

The Rwanda Governance Board (RGB) has stepped up efforts to improve service delivery in both public and private sectors. The agency, established late last year, is moving to build stronger ties with various actors, especially through the Joint Action Development Forum (JADF), a platform that brings together government, development partners, civil society and the private sector."We want to build on a solid foundation,” RGB chief executive officer, Prof. Anastase Shyaka, told The New Times on the sidelines of a meeting between his agency and JADF. In the meeting, held on Thursday, RGB officials urged JADF actively promote and monitor good governance indicators, from national to the grassroots level.Safari Patrick, the national coordinator, JADF, welcomed the governance board’s initiative. "Working together will help both of us, and ultimately benefit the people,” he said.
