Primus leagueYesterday’s resultIsonga 1-0 La JeunesseDESPITE Wednesday’s 1-0 victory over La Jeunesse, Isonga remained unmoved on the Primus League table after being docked points by the national football governing body (Ferwafa).The youthful side which would have gone level with La Jeunesse on 16 points was hit with a three-point penalty for fielding an ineligible player in last week’s 3-2 Primus league victory over AS Kigali.Isonga fielded Solomon Nirisarike yet the midfielder had completed his switch to Belgian’s second division side Royal Anterweerp prompting AS Kigali to file an official complaint to Ferwafa.On Wednesday, the federation released a statement stating that Isonga had been slapped with a three-point penalty and three goals deduction for the fault.Isonga club chairman Augustin Munyandamutsa has now lodged an appeal."AS Kigali should have lodged their complaint before the match but the fact that they did it after losing nullifies their claim procedure,” a disgusted Munyandamutsa said.Following the penalty, Isonga are still in eighth place with 13 points. Police top the table with 27 points, three clear of defending champions APR and Mukura; and a further five ahead of Rayon Sport and SC Kiyovu.
