Dear editor,

Onatracom Company should revise means of saving lives and time of passengers who fight for vehicles during evening rush hours at Lubangura stage.

What disappoints is that vehicle drivers and conductors reserve the right to determine where their vehicle should go without considering the biggest group gathered there.

They choose only to go to short distances thus making those going to places like Kimironko, Remera and other distant places suffer.

When the vehicle comes, some people even enter through the window and actually those who can’t fight for it end up almost reaching home midnight. The problem could not be the vehicle, but that the place lucks organization.

I just think that directing the vehicle where to go depending on the demand and the number of passengers available, is a total responsibility of Otraco.

It’s sensible for Otraco guides to stand there during these rush hours, strictly to guide these vehicles where to go basing on the demand but not to give liberty to drivers who don’t want to go to long distances.

Please understand that people need quick services and standing there for two hours waiting for vehicles, will not solve problems of city congestion and theft of personal items during fighting for the vehicle.
