Local events organisers ShowTime Event will coordinate the launch of Skol’s ‘Get Connected with Skol Promo’ at the grounds of the Private Sector Federation (PSF) in Gikondo, today.Davies Genza, ShowTime’s CEO, told The New Times that, a host of musicians; both local and regional will entertain guests at the launch. "As usual, we are dedicated to change the face of event promotion in Rwanda. And for the Skol Promo, we want to bring together a number of artistes from different fields. Together they will make what I can call the ‘Skol Rock Band,” Genza promised.Genza also noted that there will be a surprise act and video jockey (VJ) that will only be known by those who will attend the launch. The programme is expected to start at 7pm and entry is by invitation only.Apart from the launch, ShowTime will also organise the grand draw of the promo slated for May 26-, where the lucky winner will walk away with a Mitsubishi Lancer 2010.The three month promo is aimed at rewarding their loyal customers. During the promo, beer brand’s customers will have to peel off crowns from Skol bottle tops to win beer, t-shirts, caps, mobile phones, laptops and Samsung TV sets. The whole promotion will cost US $ 500,000."In the short time we have been here, we have managed to grab quite a good percentage of the beer market in Rwanda that exceeded our expectations. As a brand that sells happiness and friendship, we are very proud to give back to the community that has made us grow,” Mark Mugarura, Marketing Manager of Skol beer said.
