NORTHERN PROVINCE

The advisory council of Musanze district has approved a 3-year budget of Frw13 billion.

The health sector and civil servants’ salaries were got bigger shares in the new budget.

The budget is expected to streach from the beginning of 2008 to the end of 2010.

The head of the district advisory council  Alex Ruberwa said that the budget was prepared with consideration of priority sectors.

Normally, the district advisory council draft and approves a budget then later forwards it to the ministry of finance which also extends to the cabinet for final approval.

Frw 10 billion of the budget is expected to come from the  government, Frw 8 billion will come from the donors while the remaining Frw 12 bilion will be raised from the district revenues.Ends
