NORTHERN PROVINCE

BURERA — Sector leaders have been asked to be self confident in order to speed up transformation.

Prime Minister, Bernard Makuza while opening the month long solidarity training for hundreds of Sector Executive Secretaries from across the country, urged the sector leaders to be problem solvers and to always engage local residents in development activities.

The function was at the Peace and Leadership Institute in Nkumba, Burera district,

"The gap between our current economic status and where we are heading is seemingly big. Though we have the confidence of success, it calls for collective participation of all the flag bearers in national transformation," he said.

The Premier also urged sector leaders to remain open-minded to new development ideas in order to spur development.

Government programmes including the EDPRS, good governance, good service delivery, land laws, and components of Vision 2020, will be the major highlight of the training. The participants are expected to disseminate the knowledge to citizens in their respective localities.
