Israeli envoy bids farewell to Kagame

President Paul Kagame, yesterday, received the outgoing Israeli Ambassador to Rwanda, Oded Ben-Haim, after close to fours year as emissary to Rwanda.Ben-Haim who has been based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, ends his tour of duty both in Rwanda and Ethiopia.Present at the farewell that was held at Village Urugwiro, was Minister of Foreign Affairs, Louise Mushikiwabo."One of the areas of potential cooperation between Rwanda and Israel is agriculture and education, and we are trying to create centres of excellence specifically in these areas,” Mushikiwabo told The New Times yesterday during a phone interview.She noted that the relationship between the two countries has always been good and remains stable and strong. During the meeting, the Israel envoy briefed the Head of State about the progress made in the areas of cooperation between the two nations during his tenure. "We expect a replacement in the next couple of months,” Mushikiwabo noted.
