BERCH Bamuma could not hide his delight after being drafted into Milutin Micho’s squad and hopes it proves the first of many calls to represent the country. The defender who features for Kenya’s AFC Leopard is part of the 30-man provisional squad for the upcoming 2013 Africa Nations Cup qualifier against Nigeria."I’m massively delighted. From watching these players (Olivier Karekezi, Meddie Kagere) week in, week out, even if it means sitting on the bench for the whole day, just to have the training session with them all and to be involved is a big step for me.”He added: "It’s the first foot on the ladder and I’ll take that because hopefully I’ll have many more to come.”"It was a bit of a shock to get the call but I always knew the manager has been looking at the youngsters and you never say never.”Bamuma, who had a short stint at Atraco, will join the Amavubi camp on Sunday after his team’s match against Mathare United.
