The Minister of Trade and Industry, Francois Kanimba, has reaffirmed government’s commitment to make Rwanda the most business and investment friendly destination.Kanimba, was speaking at an interactive session with the Indian business delegation which was in Kigali this week, together with members of the Kigali Business Community. It was organised by the Private Sector Federation (PSF)."We have been undertaking reforms to improve the way of doing business and we are even aiming higher in line with what has so far been done,” Kanimba said.He noted that although a lot has been done to strengthen bilateral ties with India, there is need to connect and facilitate private sector development especially by opening up to Indian investors.The delegation is part of the team that accompanied the Indian Minister of State for External Affairs, Preneet Kaur, on her two-day visit.Addressing the media, the senior vice president of Airtel Business Solutions, Jagtar Singh, who led the team, said India has a lot to learn from Rwanda."Our visit has been positive and I want to assure you that we have identified many opportunities which our members have picked interest to invest in,” Singh noted."We came to identify areas in which we can work, but according to what we have seen, we shall be ambassadors to those who have not visited.” The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of PSF, Hannington Namara, said the visit was mutually beneficial."As PSF, this gives us the opportunity to learn from these people, but also to inform and show them how business in done here,” he underlined.
