A fundraising drive has been planned for February 24, one day before the women football league kick off.According to Felicite Rwemarika, the Head of women football in Rwanda, the league needs more than the Rwf26m to run smoothly."We want to engage different people in various sectors to raise money so that the league runs smoothly. We also plan to woo sponsors to compliment on the funds that will be raised through the fundraising,” Rwemarika said.Nine clubs including APR, Inyemera, Remera, Rubavu, Musanze, AS Kigali, Bugesera, Les Lionness and the National University of Rwanda (NUR), are expected to take part in the six month league.APR won the first edition in 2008 but AS Kigali has since dominated winning three titles on the trot.
