Rwanda ‘key member’ of Le Francophonie

Rwanda is one of the important member states within ‘Le Francophonie’ because of its influence on the African continent. This revelation was made by Roch Marc Christian Kabore, the chairperson of the African Parliamentary Forum of Speakers from the Francophone countries (APF), during the opening ceremony of the fourth APF at the Parliamentary Buildings in Kimihurura.

Rwanda is one of the important member states within ‘Le Francophonie’ because of its influence on the African continent.

This revelation was made by Roch Marc Christian Kabore, the chairperson of the African Parliamentary Forum of Speakers from the Francophone countries (APF), during the opening ceremony of the fourth APF at the Parliamentary Buildings in Kimihurura.

"Hosting this fourth APF shows just how Le Francophonie values Rwanda. This is a model nation to Africa,” said Kabore, who is also the Speaker of the Burkina Faso parliament.

Representatives of 14 African countries are attending the conference which held under the theme: ‘The Role of African Parliaments in Promoting Good Governance’.
