February 14 is the day when the world turns to love, emotions and romance and Rwanda was no exception.

Yesterday, red roses were bought by the armload and lovers flocked to different Kigali hangouts to celebrate their love.

Various public spots and hotels such as Manor Hotel, Kigali Serena Hotel, Mama Africa Restaurant, Laico Umubano and The Indian Chef, among others, offered lovers special treatment, making it a night to remember.

Some of the highlights of the evening included performances from Dr. Claude, Knowles and Tom Close at Mama Africa Restaurant in Kimihurura. King James, Miss Jojo, Kitoko and Uganda’s songbird Sheebah entertained lovers at the Manor Hotel in Nyarutarama.

Lovers wore red outfits to celebrate the one holiday made especially for them.
