Keeping your body clean is important. It keeps you away from diseases healthy and helps you to feel good about yourself.

Caring about the way we look is important. As children, we don’t need to wear the latest designer clothing, to look good.

There are other things you can do which are much more important to look good.

We need to keep our body parts clean before we look for special clothes to wear.

A child, who has put on an expensive cloth while his or her hair, teeth and nails are dirty, will never look good and healthy.

Keeping all the above mentioned body parts clean permits us to look good and hygienic.

Bathing every day is another thing all of us must do. At least we should have to bathe twice a day.

After bathing, it is healthy for children to use children’s lotion to smear their bodies. Don’t use lotion for adults as they are dangerous for a child’s skin.

Feet

Wash your feet well at least once a day. Dry them carefully, especially between the toes where more bacteria collect than anywhere else on your skin. If the towel is too thick to get in between your little toes, then use a dry face washer (keep it for your feet only).

Hair

Wash regularly your hair with soap. Massage your scalp well. This will remove dead skin cells, excess oil and dirt. Wash well with clear water and comb your hair regularly to be soft. Use a wide toothed comb for wet hair as it is easier to pull through.

Teeth

Brush your teeth twice a day - after breakfast and before you go to bed. During the day, fill your mouth with water and turn it around to get rid of anything sticking to your teeth.

Fingers:

Under our nails we find dirt. In order to avoid eating the dirty in our fingers, we should keep them short and clean them regularly. Always after playing and before eating anything remember to wash your fingers well.
