Members of the Rwanda Media Network against HIV/Aids (ABASIRWA) yesterday, on Valentine’s Day, held various activities aimed encouraging the public, especially the youth, to prevent contracting HIV/Aids.Among other activities, the organisation held a road show as well as talk shows on radio stations to discourage actions that may lead into contracting the virus."This is a very critical moment where people need to be careful. Yes, we should love each other, but couples should be responsible in whatever step they engage and avoid unprotected sex,” noted Innocent Bahati, the Executive Secretary of the association."You either abstain or use a condom to avoid contracting or passing the virus to others if you truly love them,” he noted.The campaign was held under the theme; "Youth abstain or protect yourself and others by using condoms.” Other activities included visiting popular bars, restaurants and Discotheques to examine measures in place to help clients in protecting themselves.
