Help is the work done by a person for another individual, more so if this involves sorting out some problem. This may be in lieu of money or some return or it may be a purely selfless help extended to some one in need.Whatever may be the interest of the person helping, but if somebody’s work is accomplished through that help or some problem is solved, then it is beneficial.Helping others may be part of the job of people. These are the people working in public services like bankers, doctors, e.t.c.. Though they get salary for the work they do, still if they help people whole heartedly, by providing good service, it is appreciable. Some individuals may help a person in need once in a while, because the need may be momentary. A gentleman meets an accident on the road and is taken to the hospital by a good Samaritan passing by. In this situation also, the help rendered is always appreciated by all as the life of a person is saved by this act. Giving charity to needy persons, helping victims caught in disasters like earth quakes, fires, e.t.c., is help rendered on a big scale. In situations like this, even though the help is given by means of local and or international organizations, ultimately it is the people with helping attitude who actually work for it. These may be their paid employees or pure volunteers, but in whatever form they work, persons suffering are always benefited. An individual with a helpful attitude is always behind such acts whether it is a group task or done on an individual basis. The person or persons who are benefited always return happy and satisfied. A person who is in distress feels grateful from his heart and invariably gives heartfelt blessings. If someone is helping whole heartedly, there is one or more individuals who benefit. The person helping out also feels good and satisfied after rendering help to others. He or she feels happy and satisfied. This is very useful for mental relaxation. Thus problems related to mental stress like hypertension, cardiac problems e.t.c. are also prevented by being helpful to others. Thus there are many advantages of helping others. One only has to spare some time from his routine to help others. If one desires to render monetary help some money has also to be spared. One should always keep a helpful attitude towards others. Help can be in form of cash or kind. To give aid in cash, one does not have to be a millionaire. Like, small drops of water form a sea, similarly small amounts of money given by people voluntarily, add up to become big amounts which can make a big difference in the life or lives of some poor persons or victims of some natural or man made calamity. Help can be rendered in multiple ways by actions also. Helping an infirm individual to cross the road, helping a senior citizen in the bank or market in any way, helping a mother with a small baby in a crowded places are small acts but very useful for the beneficiary. But while being helpful, one should try to be selfless and not expect anything in return immediately.. Then only it will provide immense satisfaction to the doer. If one expects much for giving out small help, it will rob him of the mental satisfaction which self less help can provide. Besides, whatever good or bad one does it comes back to him or her in the same form. This is the law of, :Karma”. Therefore if one helps others, he will invariably get help from some source in time of need. Keeping this in mind, one should not feel disheartened, if he does not get anything immediately in lieu of some help done.Continue to help others in whatever way you can. If all follow this attitude, the world will become a wonderful place to live in.
