FORMER Amavubi skipper Hamad Ndikumana a.k.a Katauti has signed a short-term contract at Rayon Sport.The blues Secretary General Olivier Gakwaya told Times Sport yesterday, "We have agreed a short-term deal with Katauti to play for us until the end of the season.”"He is a good signing for us because he brings quality and experience to the team,” Gakwaya said.Katauti is now looking to help Rayon challenge for the title. Rayon are five points behind league leaders Police."It is good to be back at the club. I share a lot of history with Rayon Sport and will do my best to help them win a trophy this season.”Rayon have been using defensive midfielder Floribert Ndayisaba at the heart of their defense following a career-ending injury to Hussein Mbanze.Katauti who was recently released by Cyprus’ APOP Kinyras Peyias also played for Anorthosis, KV Mechelen, Apop Kinyras Petias, Nea Salamina and KAA Gent.He was part of the famous Amavubi squad which played at the 2004 Africa Nations Cup in Tunisia.With 51 appearances for Rwanda, he is one of the most capped Amavubi players and is eager to build on that number under new Amavubi coach Milutin Sredojovic Micho.In other transfer news, Brazil’s Erivaldo Olivieira da Silva completed his move from Jose Bonifacio Esporte to Police, SEC Academy’s Salomon Nirisarike signed for Belgium’s Royal Antweerp, Frank Ggayi from Kenya’s Chemelil Sugar Fc joined Amagaju, SEC Academy signed Proline pair Aziz Kemba and Emma Twesigye, Ernane Rezende Borges Ferreira also joined Police from Esporte Club Democrata, SC Villa’s Ramathan Yakubu joined AS Kigali while Simba’s James Mukubya signed for AS Kigali.
