SC Kiyovu have dismissed their Secretary General Omar Munyengabe from his position following his absence from the club’s activities over the current season.
Munyengabe was elected Kiyovu secretary General in September 2020 but he has not been in office nor did he play a part in any of the club’s activities during the 2022/23 season prompting the club management to dismiss him from his duties.
"After you failed to appear in any of Kiyovu’s activities this season yet you are supposed to be in charge of the club’s daily activities, we inform you that effective today, April 17, 2023, you are dismissed from your responsibilities as the Secretary General of Kiyovu Sports Association,” club president Jean François Ndorimana said in a letter addressed to Munyengabe.
Times Sport tried on many occasions to contact Munyengabe for a comment but efforts to reach him were futile.
Kiyovu currently sit second with 53 points and are only separated from league leaders APR by goal difference.
The club’s hopes of finally clinching their first league title in 30 years lie in how they will perform during the final five league fixtures.
