Editor,Reference is made to an article titled "Poverty down by 12%-Survey”, in The New Times, issue dated February, 8. Thanks to all Rwandans who implemented such successful initiatives.

However, a serious threat to such initiatives is the rapid increase in population yet our land is fixed. All these programmes will make no meaning on our lives if the population is not controlled.  I suggest we go the Chinese way of one child per family if we are to succeed. Vivi, Kigali
