Primus League Rayon Sport 1-3 Isonga (Saturday)Wednesday’s fixturePolice vs IsongaISONGA head coach Eric Nshimiyimana admitted his delight at Farouk Ruhinda’s composure in front of goal after watching his side topple Rayon Sport in Saturday’s Primus League encounter at Kigali Regional Stadium. The 18-year-old scored twice to propel Isonga to a 3-1 victory; their second in the league.Ruhinda put the youthful side ahead on the 21st minute after dribbling past Rayon’s center backs (Iddy Nshimiyimana and Gad Niyonshuti) before beating the goalkeeper Juma Mpongo. Nshimiyimana’s day then went from bad to worse when he put the ball in his own net on the stroke of half time to give Isonga a 2-0 half-time lead.On the 60th minute, Bokota Kamana reduced the deficit after converting Cedric Amissi’s set-piece. But Isonga were not yet done. After missing clear-cut chances through Isaac Muganza and Jacques Cyubahiro, Ruhinda scored his second after converting Eric Nsabimana’s clever through pass 20 minutes from time."He has improved very quickly and has become an important player who can make a difference,” Nshimiyimana said of the attacking midfielder. "He does not only go forward, he also contributes when it comes to defending.” Saturday’s resounding victory hoists Isonga up to ninth place; nine points behind Rayon in fifth place. And Nshimiyimana, whose side face Police on Wednesday, admits a positive result was vital for his side after managing only seven points out of a possible 24."It was important for the confidence of the side to win this game but the result in itself will not make us win Police so we have to keep our feet on the ground and work hard,” he added.
