ANATOLE Bizimana produced one of the upsets of the ITF East Africa U-18 Circuit by beating Poland’s Peter Dobrzynski yesterday.

Bizimana, with an ATP ranking of 1751, beat his Polish opponent in three sets 7-5 4-6 6-0 to set up a quarter-final clash with Italy’s Andrea Pellegrino who ejected Kumar of India in straight sets 6-3 6-1.

Bizimana claimed the first set 7-5 before going down 4-6 in the second. The youngster then recovered well to sweep the third set 6-0.

Hakim Ntwali however had a tough day on court as he lost to Israel’s Aviv Darmon 1-6 2-6.

In other matches, Samir Abohabaga ousted Yassin Barakamfitiye of Burundi in straight sets 6-1 6-2 to set up quarter-final tie with Carenza Francesco who also strolled through after a 6-2 6-0 win over India’s Savio.
