As Rwandans wait for commercial courts to begin hearing commercial litigations, eleven new court registrars were sworn in Thursday at the seat of the court in Remera, a Kigali suburb.

Among those sworn in, seven will serve Nyarugenge Commercial Court while the rest will be distributed to Musanze and Huye courts.

The function was presided over by Benoit Gakwaya, the vice president of the High Court. He encouraged the new registrars to provide good services to all approach them.

"Bear in mind that there’s a lot of work waiting for you, so for that matter, I request you to demonstrate a spirit of integrity in your work and give  Rwandans warm reception whenever they come your way”Gakwaya asked. He asked them to work without sentiments and advised them to leave their personal problems at home.

Gakwaya revealed that the Commercial Courts are to begin work in two weeks time. Over 7000 cases are waiting for the new court most of them banking and tax related.
