EditorAs the English Premier League season rises to a crescendo, the mediocrity and lack of a winning mentality among such clubs as Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool is gradually being exposed.

That said, Manchester City, which began the campaign on a high, has also had its frailties open to the elements. They have lost games we did not anticipate. They are out of the Carling Cup and the FA and just like Manchester United, were knocked out of the European Champions League tourney and relegated to the less prestigious Europa League.Premier League lovers like me who hate the dominance of Manchester United would have been more than glad to see a third club in the title race; a strong club like Mourinho’s Chelsea. Unfortunately, the third is a resilient Tottenham Hotspurs who I highly doubt would push both Manchester clubs all the way.My prediction is that United will win the league again courtesy of Sir Alex Ferguson’s experience and a never-say-die philosophy.Ivan KabeeraNyanza
