NORTHERN PROVINCE

MUSANZE — The Private Sector Federation (PSF) on Wednesday launched the issuing of business identification cards to all members of Northern Province Investment Cooperation (NORPIC).

The move comes days after a similar launch in Muhanga district, in the Southern province.

According to Gerald Nsenga, the President of the Western Province Investment Corporation (WEPIC), this initiative is also meant to foster smooth cooperation among members, simplify acquisition of loans and getting of tenders,

Nsenga who officiated at the issuing of the cards, observed that the move would a minimize confusion and facilitate collective bargaining on matters of business by private entrepreneurs.

NORPIC which was started with 91 initial shareholders last year, has registered a rise in the number of shareholders this year, according to officials.
