Last week’s annual business excellence awards held at Serena Hotel and initiated by Rwanda Development Board a few years ago have enabled business organisations to generate business, strive for excellence and improve the value of brands. The awards further honour those that promote success, innovation and ethics within the Rwandan business community.

Though 25 percent of potential government revenue, as reported by ActionAid and other media houses in the past, is given away in the form of incentives and tax exemptions, ploughing these back will in the long run enable the country to reach enviable heights. In any case, every good business ought to be recognised and be able to showcase its talent through such initiatives.
