ISONGA defender Michel Rusheshangoga is set to undergo trials at Belgium’s second division side Royal Antwerp. The club chairman Augustin Munyandamutsa told Times Sport yesterday, “He (Rusheshangoga) is expected to leave for Belgium at the end of the month. We hope he will pass the trials.”

The 17-year-old was a key figure in the national U-17 side which played at last year’s Fifa U1-7 World Cup in Mexico.
If he passes the trials, he will join compatriot Solomon Nirisarike who recently signed a two-year deal at the club.
The center-back could even break into the senior squad for the upcoming 2013 Africa Nations Cup and 2014 World Cup qualifiers.
Rusheshangoga was an unused substitute during last year’s Cecafa Challenge Cup where Rwanda reached the final only to lose to Uganda.
The other Rwandan who features in the Belgian second division is Henry Munyaneza, who plays for SK Sint-Niklaas.
After amassing 34 points from 21 matches, Royal Antwerp lie sixth on the table.
