Editor,
This year’s Africa Cup of Nations (CAN) is very unique, considering the fact that most of the traditional big guns were sent crushing out in the qualifying stages.
For the first time, we CAN is without the likes of Egypt, Nigeria, and Cameroun. Although some may think it would be boring without some household names like Eto’o, I am optimistic that fans would witness new exciting talent from countries like Equatorial Guinea, Libya, Sudan and more.
I am a big fan of Ivory Coast and believe that they have always been unlucky in the previous editions despite having the best team.
This time round, without Nigeria and Cameroun and Egypt, I am certain that this is Ivory Coast’s best chance of winning the trophy.
Although Ghana might show strong resilience, I am sure that they will be swept away by the mighty wave of the Toure brothers and the burly striker, Didier Drogba.
