Dear editor,
Rwanda media practitioners will gain from the advice the director of the National university of Rwanda’s school of journalism gave at the recent speech while closing the long week training of journalism lecturers.
This will act as a tool to wards development of this country that was put down by the 1994 genocide in which media industry played a key role.
It has been seen in many occasions where by different journalists publish wrong information, some times citing out bad tracts on Rwandan leaders.
Take an example of the recent stories published in the local Kinyarwanda News paper (Umuco) putting out some bad writings about the leaders.
This is not how a true journalist is supposed to operate. There is a need to first clear the information before writing a story.
We hope this will not happen again in the media industry here.
Kanombe.
