I am a Rwandan living in California. Recently, I read a story in The New Times in which officials at the National Commission for the Fight against Genocide (CNLG) were urging Rwandans to speak out about the great opportunities that abound in the country.

Rwandans in the Diaspora have a mutual responsibility to not only promote unity and counter Genocide revisionism, but to also market the country’s investment potential.
In Europe and North America, there are some people and organizations who are determined to deny the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi. Such groups should be denounced by everybody. It is sad to see that some people who know the truth about of history and the ongoing socio-economic and political developments in the country choose to continue with their campaign of misleading the world.
Let us work together and tell the world the truth.
