Prime Minister Pierre Damien Habumuremyi, yesterday, attended the inauguration of President Yahya Jammeh of The Gambia, following the latter’s November election victory.
Prime Minister Pierre Damien Habumuremyi, yesterday, attended the inauguration of President Yahya Jammeh of The Gambia, following the latter’s November election victory.
The Gambia is the latest leg for Habumuremyi who has also had stops in Liberia, Burkina Faso and Senegal.
In Liberia, Habumuremyi attended the swearing-in of President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf on Monday, while, in Burkina Faso, the premier met with President Blaise Compaore and visited the Institute de Genie de l’Environnement et du Developpement Durable de Ouagadougou (IGED).
He also visited the Centre of Astrophysics (Observatory) at the Ouagadougou University, a statement from the Prime Minister’s office indicates.
In Senegal, the prime minister paid a visit to Rwanda Embassy staff in the capital Dakar, and addressed Rwandan residents.
Habumuremyi is accompanied by the Minister of Gender and Family Promotion, Aloysea Inyumba.
