Giants APR basketball club are still waiting on Ugandan born and Kampala’s Warriors playmaker Eric Malinga to wieigh his options of featuring for the military side this year.

APR basketball coach  Cliff Owour told Sunday Sport yesterday, "We are waiting on Malinga to make a choice on joining APR. We have set our intentions known so we are waiting for feedback,”

"We believe to get a conclusive response on Malinga’s transfer before the end of next week,” added Owour.

Malinga is one of the top basketball players needed by the military side to beef up their side ahead of their busy schedule this season.

Malinga was a four-time champion with Falcons before moving to Warriors at the start of last season.

Though the local basketball league was marred with complications last season, the military side has currently finished the league unbeaten with 28 points.

Complications rose after rivals CSK featured an ineligible  player in one of their fixtures.

APR who finished second last year behind KCB has great ambitions this year. According to Owour, they want to lift the regional title which will qualify them to compete in the Africa club championship were they will be gunning for top honours.
