Austria welcomes Trevidic report

The President of the Federal Republic of Austria, Heinz Fischer, has welcomed findings of a report by a team of French judges, Marck Trevidic and Nathalie Poux, regarding the mystery surrounding the plane crash of former President Juvenal Habyarimana.

The President of the Federal Republic of Austria, Heinz Fischer, has welcomed findings of a report by a team of French judges, Marck Trevidic and Nathalie Poux, regarding the mystery surrounding the plane crash of former President Juvenal Habyarimana.

He made the remarks while receiving credentials from Rwanda’s Ambassador, Christine Nkulikiyinka.

A team of French experts that investigated the 1994 downing of the plane, Thursday released their findings, ascertaining who was behind the fatal attack.

During the event, Nkulikiyinka briefed the Austrian President on Rwanda’s economic and political developments,

The two also held discussions on areas of cooperation between the two countries regarding political affairs, investment and tourism promotion as well as vocational training.

President Fischer and Ambassador Nkulikiyinka expressed the need and readiness to strengthen the existing good bilateral relations between Rwanda and Austria

While in Austria, Nkulikiyinka also held talks with senior Austrian officials, members of the private sector and stakeholders in the area of development, and also hosted members of the Rwandan Diaspora to celebrate the New Year.
