RWAMAGANA City and Etoile de l’Est face off this afternoon in a top-of-the table clash in the second division league.
It has been a terrific start to the season for Rwamagana City. The squad rode on a blaze of new energy and young talents, picking up 12 points and edging their opponents SEC Academy in their last fixture.
Etoile de l’Est, on the other hand, have been anything but slouches, notching three victories in five matches.
The repercussions of this tie aren’t so terrible, given that it is only the sixth fixture of the season. Nonetheless, the result will still affect how the table shapes out down the line. A win for Rwamagana will keep them atop Group B and four points clear of their opponents.
On the other hand, a draw or loss will play into the hands of Etoile de l’Est, Musanze and Interforce who are all within touching distance of top spot.
In other Group B matches, Musanze host the National University of Rwanda (NUR), while Interforce take on SEC Academy.
Elsewhere, Group A leaders Muhanga entertain fourth placed Intare, Bugesera take on Kirehe, Aspor host Zebres, Unity play Esperance while Gasabo United take on Stella Maris.
