AFTER pulling off a comprehensive first round win over Musanze, Rayon Sport will play La Jeunesse in the second round of the Peace Cup.
The blues, who lost to the youthful side (1-2) in the first round of the Primus league, will be eager to get even on February 1.
Reacting to the draw, Rayon Coach Jean Marie Ntagwabira said, "In the league, we were missing a couple of key players but I’m confident that we shall knock them out this time round.”
Meanwhile, Ntagwabira’s opposite number Emmanuel Ruremesha has his own agenda.
"We are going to try and prepare well for this game and then see what happens,” the former blues coach said. La Jeunesse strolled to the second round after a compelling 5-1 victory over second division side Etoile de l’Est.
In other fixtures, defending champions APR entertain Bugesera while last year’s finalists Police host Primus league side Nyanza.
AS Kigali host second division side Interforce, Mukura lock horns with Etincelles, Aspor clash with SC Kiyovu while Amagaju play away to hosts Marines in Rubavu.
The second round will be played on February 1.
Last year, APR lifted their sixth Peace Cup title after beating Police 4-2 in the final.
This year’s winner will earn a ticket to the 2013 Orange Confederation Cup.
