It’s the most beautiful time of the year, where the word ‘new’ gives a bright touch to everything. Well, what else could be the essence of the season? My sincere hope for you is that you find true joy in embracing whatever ‘new’ there is to your life this year…as long as it adds meaning to who you are and what you want to be someday.

I wonder if you have taken time to look reality in the face when it comes to your own life as regards this New Year. Are you the best you can be, or can you still become someone better? Are you content with what you have, where you are, or are you hoping for more? For one I know the biggest room in this world is the room for improvement. It is never too full.
I recently realized how utterly life is a series of change, sometimes bad and other times good. Moreover, it’s usually uncomfortable. I personally do not enjoy change but overtime I have figured that it is the only way life moves. Therefore, I’ve also had to learn to accept it positive mindedly. In addition, this year, I would like to challenge you to do the same. To evaluate the changes that come your way, whether in your studies, work, relationship, lifestyle, home and accept or reject them without forgetting that you will be responsible for that decision.
It’s funny how people have been going on and on about the end of the world in 2012. Much as I don’t believe that kind of talk based on my belief in what the Bible says, I still want to remind you that you’re not sure if this year isn’t actually the last you live. I would never wish it, but let us wake up to the reality a little bit here… we are not promised tomorrow. So please do not forget to live life keenly remembering that whatever you do, you have just one chance at it.
Otherwise, please make sure you discover and be more of yourself. Set your priorities right, laugh harder, smile more in the face of hardships, give or share more without expecting returns, learn as much as you can that builds you and work ever more wholeheartedly. Take the chance to speak out your mind whenever you have to, seize every opportunity to express your gratitude to those who deserve it in your life and to tell those you love how much you do while you still can. Enjoy your 2012 to the fullest mostly; humble yourself if you realize you are not your own giver of life! As for me, I’m determined to accomplish the above for they are my new year’s resolutions and I do hope among all our differences, we have these things in common.
I wish you a marvelous year 2012!
