APR new head coach Rene Feller has praised his club’s youthful players after they demolished Electrogaz 5-0 over the weekend at Nyamirambo stadium.

Speaking after the game, Feller said, "The coaching role will be simplified because APR is more focused and determined,"

"This club has brilliance and fast-paced players who are an added advantage and key to the present football," Feller said.

Feller, 66 and former Eritrean national team head coach did not make his debut with the military side as he had been with the team for only a day soon after he returned back from his homeland, Holland.

Together with his assistant Eric Paske in the stands, Feller gave directives to Jean David Katotola who was in charge of the military side.

Katotola later maintained APR’s grip on top spot of the league table.

APR scored their goals through Elias Uzamukunda who scored a brace on the 7th and 55th minutes.

Masudi Kaka Elias Ntaganda and Mwemere Girishunti were also on target for the military side .

APR leads the league table with 36 points, one ahead of second placed Atraco who grabbed maximum points against Marines.

Electrogaz remained on seventh position with 14 points.

Atraco secured their points courtesy of Peter Kagabo and Patrick Mafisango strikes in the second half of the game. Marines scored their consolation through Eldfonse Mwaraba. Elsewhere, Pappy Gasana scored for AS Kigali as they successfully humbled Mukura at Mumena stadium.

The old giants SC Kiyovu were forced to a goalless draw against home side Kibuye at Gatwaro stadium. Kiyovu shares 27 points with Rayon Sport on the league table though the blues still have two games in hand against Atraco and Etincelles yet to be played.
