Rwandan international striker Henri Munyaneza has joined Belgium’s second division side SK St. Niklaas on a free transfer from WS Woluwe.

Munyaneza, who last featured for Amavubi Stars in 2008, will be hoping to get regular football so as to impress coach Sredojovic ‘Micho’ Milutin.

The striker, 27, was expected to be in the country over the Christmas season, together with the rest of a select team of professional players drawn from Europe which played two friendly matches against APR and Amavubi Stars.

Born in 1984, Munyaneza fell out with the former administration after he demanded $3000 (about Frw1.6 million) for his every appearance for the Amavubi Stars in the 2010 World Cup/Africa Nations Cup qualifiers.

At that time he was featuring for Belgium premier club, F. C. Verbroedering Dender.

Instead, the striker was immediately dropped from the list of professionals that had been drafted.

St. Niklaas is placed second bottom of the league standings with 11 points in 18 matches.
