Muhima Hospital recorded the highest umber of babies on Christmas, with three girls and two boys. The University Teaching Hospital of Kigali (CHUK) registered one boy and two girls. Hopital Croix Du Sud delivered three boys and a girl.

"These babies are our Christmas gift; although our job requires that we forego celebrating Christmas with our families, we are always delighted when we are blessed with beautiful new babies. You can tell from the smiles of the mothers,” Florence Asiimwe, a nurse at Muhima Hospital said.
"There are other women in the labor ward waiting to give birth, so we are still anxiously waiting to put a smile on another mother.”
At Kibagaga Hospital three babies were born, two of them boys.
By press time there were no births at Kigali’s other main hospital, King Faisal.
