Gatete snubs the media

Should we call it celebrity fever or simply arrogance? Jimmy Gatete, known to his fans know him just as Gatete, was recently heard swearing never to talk to journalists. Reason? No one knows!

The Lion FC striker was perhaps put off this dangerous breed by the journalists who sneaked on him hanging out with a babe at Nyira Rock (Kigali down town’s former nightspot).

But come on, who has never stepped out with a "Icyana”?Okay, maybe he’s a little worried about his status. But he should also remember that he is a famous footballer in the country. So, there is no way he is going to stop us writing about him. Just cool it and be nice to the media.

Hotel taps tease senator

This was a total embarrassment! It was a fine Friday, around 2:30am at Hotel Novotel, Kacyiru. An ostensibly styled and very confident female senator entered the loos. Nothing unusual there.

But as she went to wash her hands, things started to go wrong. She wrestled with the tap for a couple of minutes. Finally water splashed allover her face and outfit. Oh my God! As she shouted, crying for help. Water was slashing rapidly and the sink was soon filled pouring on the floor.

Obote’s ex-captain claims to be Chameleon’s father

This is bizarre! Snoops have got their hands on a video on which an elderly man, Jimmy Kato, a former captain in Dr. Apollo Milton Obote’s regime, claims to be the dad of none other than Jose Chameleon.

The Uganda’s reggae musician, real name Joseph Mayanja, is (or so we thought) the son of a Kawempe division LC 2 chairman, Gerald Mayanja and his wife Prossy Mayanja. The elderly Kato who lives in Lukaaya, Uganda claims not to want anything from ‘his son’.

Snoops from the neighbouring Uganda, heard the elderly man saying: "It’s not that I expect Chameleon to give me anything and I am not coming out because of his fame.”

The ex-captain claims he fathered Chameleon way back in 1974 with a certain woman, Nansamba. Apparently, just weeks after Kato was arrested. Nansamba and baby Chameleon left Ndeeba and went to live with her pal Gerald Mayanja in Kawempe.

"That is when Mayanja inherited my son Chameleon. The boy grew up knowing that guy was his really dad. I don’t know what happened to Nansamba or if this Prossy Mayanja I hear is my Nansamba,” said Kato.

Mayanja for his part says that it hurts when he hears a strange person claiming to be the father of his child.
