I really admire calm people

I really admire people who can keep calm like my granddad. The man can keep his cool under all types of pressure. At 52 he can handle problems of any magnitude. Being calm is one of the greatest secrets of success. It is a creative and experimental journey of learning and being aware of yourself and the world around you. It puts you in control of yourself and your success.

Granddad is a naturally born genius and is a whole lot smarter than university graduates are. Due to his character, he is a friend to most, which automatically made him eligible as an elder at our village.

He once told me, to have clear goals on top of my ambition. He said when these principles are combined, I could achieve my objectives.

He insisted that staying calm and collected made the situation a whole lot easier. I wish I could stay as calm as he could. I do my best to keep my cool, but I have never seen anyone who can keep it together like he can.

On the contrary, when he gets mad, he becomes calmer and somehow he remembers everything.

Personally I have known a few people who ooze with serene calmness. It’s visible in their smiles and the gleam in their eyes.

He describes ‘calm” as learning to relax in the midst of anything and everything. He says, panicking is what makes us fail. Besides, panic comes with stress and stress invites old age sooner so why get all wrinkled before your time? Let us learn to keep it together like the old man and live long and successful lives.
