Editor,
I read with excitement news that a charity appeal to raise funds for the first ever cricket oval in Rwanda, was launched in the UK early this week. The move is a good gesture because cricket, like any other sport will help unite Rwandans.
The £400,000 required to realise this huge project is a lot and the contribution should not be left in the hands of a few people. Rwandans, too, need to join this drive to help complete the stadium by 2014.
Indeed, the oval will provide the desired home for cricket, which is one of the fastest growing sports in the country. There is no doubt the ground will enable Rwandans from all backgrounds, to play cricket.
