Police handball team reach semis in Tz

POLICE marched into the semi finals of this year’s East and Central Africa handball club championship yesterday in Dar es salaam, Tanzania.
Police beat Zanzibar’s Nyuki 37-24 in their final group game. The national champions had beaten Zanzibar’s Jikiu 43-32 before losing to Cereals of Kenya 29-42 in their first two group matches.
They will now play DRC’s Police in today’s semi-final.
The tournament has attracted teams from eight countries, including Zambia, Ethiopia, Kenya, Uganda, Burundi, DRC, Rwanda and the hosts Tanzania.
