It has often been reported that some employers deduct their employees savings but fail to remit it to Rwanda Social Security Board for reasons better known to themselves. Such savings are designed to provide a livelihood to hundreds of families upon retirement.

However, employers normally do not remit the savings which is a violation of the law and detrimental to the future plans of several workers and their families.

Pension may be a complicated issue but it is important that people understand it so that it gets the value it deserves
