Nyarugenge primary court will on April 14 deliver a ruling in a case involving Evariste Tuyisenge, who is being prosecuted for crimes committed on social media.

Tuyisenge, whose Twitter account goes by the name "NTAMA W'IMANA 2", was arrested on Tuesday, March 21, after he made a tweet that encouraged the public to defile

Tuyisenge appeared in court on Thursday, April 6, 2023, where he was represented by his lawyer, Innocent Muramira. The prosecutor's office revealed that they were prosecuting him for cybercrimes and requested that he be imprisoned for three years.

However, the prosecution did not bring any drug-related charges against Tuyisenge, as they did not find any drugs in his system, contrary to previous reports.

During the trial, Tuyisenge pleaded guilty to the charges and apologized to the court. He also promised to use social media to encourage people to do the right thing and avoid crime in the future.
