‘It’s true Elephant Man is still in town. On the day (Sunday) they were supposed to leave, they failed to make it to Kigali International Airport in time thus the reason he’s still here,” explained Joseph Mushyoma a.k.a Boubou of the East African Party (EAP), the organisers of the concert, when contacted about elephant man’s prolonged stay.
"But I have just received information he and his crew will depart for Jamaica tomorrow (today). Otherwise, there was nothing to worry about their prolonged stay here; in fact they have enjoyed travelling around Rwanda.”
Initially, there were suggestions that the Jamaican artiste was stranded in Rwanda after organisers failed to pay him for the concert.
His concert at Lugogo in Kampala, Uganda, where he was scheduled to perform prior to his performance at the Expo grounds in Gikondo, was cancelled due to disagreements with the Kampala show organisers.
