When you visit most snack places around town, it’s had to get space since several teens are hanging out.  It’s not wrong to hang out with your peers but there is need to watch what you eat.

Obesity among teenagers is a result of eating a lot of junk food. Teens should have snacks occasionally instead of making it a daily routine.

Science lessons at schools always emphasise the importance of eating a balanced diet. Therefore, the excessive consumption of junk food can be harmful to one’s health. According to a study conducted and funded by the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI), frequenting fast food meals by teens and young adults leads to weight gain and face an increased risk of developing insulin resistance.

Junk food is usually dip-fried and crunchy with a mouth-watering delicious look. People who enjoy snacks become addicted to them because of its crispy taste.

Most teenagers get the excuse of eating junk during holidays since they do not get such snacks while at school.  Besides enjoying the snacks at restaurants or cafes, some teenagers watch Television while crunching snacks, an act that is dangerous for their health.

Eating while watching television can be addictive especially amongst teenagers yet it has its related dangers. For instance, one could choke if all their attention is focused on the television programme.

Discipline in one’s eating habits should be emphasized in order to avoid over weight. The teenage stage of life is the right time to adapt to specific disciplines in life. One would take healthy eating as unimportant yet it determines our well-being.
