AMAVUBI are in for a tough challenge in Group A following Zimbabwe’s last minute entry into the competition.

Cecafa were forced to make changes yesterday after Namibia ill-timed withdrawal.

Zimbabwe, who climbed four places to 70, in the latest Fifa rankings, will open their campaign on Sunday when they play with Djibouti.  Meanwhile, Rwanda is eager to get even with Tanzania when the two sides lock horns tomorrow. Last year, the Kilimanjaro Stars had the better of Amavubi after knocking them out at the quarter-final stage.

The tournament kicks off this afternoon with two Group B fixtures. Burundi entertains Somalia before what is expected to be a thrilling contest between eleven-time champions Uganda and Zanzibar.
