Our continent needs to work collectively to protect children’s rights. One of the continent’s greatest assets is its youth because they possess the energy to take the Africa to the highest level. But without giving them an opportunity to participate in the decision making process, we shall not fully benefit from them.

There is, therefore, need to double our efforts to promote the wellbeing of the African child. A lot has been achieved but there remains more to be done.
