Editor,
The move by a Norwegian Court to have Charles Bandora extradited to Rwanda to face charges in connection to his role in the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi is a welcome development. It’s important that all those suspected Genocidaires have their day in court to explain their role in the 1994 Genocide against Tutsi.
When in Rwanda, I am sure evidence will be adduced to expose Bandora’s role in the genocide especially in Bugesera. Other countries both in Africa and beyond should borrow a leaf from Norway and investigate people suspected to have committed Genocide but hiding in their respective countries.
The culture of impunity in this world will only end if those who commit heinous crimes are tried. I think unity and reconciliation will be possible when those who played a role in the genocide are punished.
