Dear editor,

The news head lines are telling us that the long time serving president Mugabe of Zimbabwe is loosing, but let those who are anxious to see him loose burry their anxiety.

Mugabe is a man who is there to stay and is not ready to give up power to the opposition.

We have experience in his style of silencing his opposition. He has called the prediction of a win from the part of the opposition, as tantamount to a coup d’etat.

So whether the international observers say that the elections were free and fare or not, the fact remains that elections were conducted in a peaceful environment and the right candidate won. Whatever happens behind the curtains does not have tangible explanations and are left to be regarded as bias.

The international observers have already endorsed that the elections were conducted in a conducive environment. It is only the South African based observer who has actually refused to sign it, saying that having a good environment during the elections does not necessarily mean free and fare elections.

The fact remains one, Mugabe is going to be declared as the winner and the opposition should stop dreaming.
