Over 1600 prisoners to be released

A Cabinet meeting chaired by President Paul Kagame, Friday approved the provisional release of 1667 civil and military prisoners. The meeting that was convened in Village Urugwiro, also approved the agreement on the appointment of Mrs. Helene Le Gal as French Ambassador to Rwanda replacing, Laurent Contini.

A Cabinet meeting chaired by President Paul Kagame, Friday approved the provisional release of 1667 civil and military prisoners.

The meeting that was convened in Village Urugwiro, also approved the agreement on the appointment of Mrs. Helene Le Gal as French Ambassador to Rwanda replacing, Laurent Contini.

The meeting approved various programs, including strategies and policies the Itorero National Commission Strategy; International Gateway Traffic Verification System (IGTVS) and made recommendations on Gikondo Industrial Park relocation project;

New government officials were also appointed. They include Kagarama Ingabire Doreen, as a Senior Policy Analyst for the Economic Cluster in the President’s Office. Mushimire Olivier was appointed Advisor to the Executive Secretary of the Public Service Commission, while Nyakana Johnson was appointed Director of Administration and Finance in the Road Maintenance Fund.

Mutangana Sendakize and Rutagumba Samuel were appointed Director of Administration and Finance RIAM and Director of Finance Rwanda Bureau of Standards, respectively.
